The theme of this post is trees. The title references to a quote by John Muir taken from John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir, edited by Linnie Marsh Wolfe:
The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.
Whether you agree with that or not, I think it’s difficult to argue against the beauty of trees and their wild shapes.
Throughout the walk, I took pictures of trees backed against the sky and trees lying on the ground. I took pictures of small trees and big trees, dead trees and live trees.
Trees reveal every struggle and triumph of their lives through their shapes and leaves, twists, turns, and bends.
I tried to capture a bit of that in the photos, although the pictures would have been livelier if it was sunny outside.
Your Bonnie Celtophile,
